Functie
/ Position
As a Project Manager you will contribute to business improvements for the region both towards customers as well as internal operations. These could be customer implementations, operational implementations and business improvements like automation and innovations. You are responsible for the management of projects to satisfy business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, lead time and quality. In this challenging position you take on the role of being a project lead as well as project member. You will work in close cooperation with members of the site management, IT teams and other supporting departments. You will report to our Program Manager. The main focus for this role will be Bergen op Zoom Area.
As a project manager you are responsible for:
- Starting up the project: what are the objectives, who are the customers, who are the parties involved
- Developing and following up on a project schedule
- Drawing up a business case, determining and monitoring the costs incurred
- Putting together a project team and ensuring that all tasks are carried out on time and with the right quality
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project based on a number of KPIs
- Managing relationships with the project sponsor and steering committee members
- Delivering the desired project deliverables
- You make a proactive contribution to our Continuous Improvement working method.
Functie-eisen
/ Profile
As a project manage you have a Master or Bachelor degree (Commercial Sciences, IT, Logistics Management, …) and several years of experience in Project Management.
Besides you have the following education/skills/ knowledge:
- Knowledge of WMS and other relevant logistics applications.
- Knowledge of Fashion / Lifestyle logistics is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lean/ Six Sigma / Process design is a plus.
- You can shift easily between project execution and project management.
- Preferable you have experience in e-commerce: Operational management or Engineering.
- Work experience of at least 5 years, of which 2 years within Project Management.
- A strong interest in logistics.
- You are flexible and are willing to travel between the different sites.
- Good knowledge of Dutch & English, both spoken and written.
As a person you are a self-starter, independent and you have excellent problem solving and decision making skills and a strong ability to manage multiple tasks in stressful circumstances
Occasionally you have to travel, to other sites within the Southern Netherlands.
