The Logistics Project Manager leads and takes part in various projects that contribute to business improvements. You possess the natural instinct to bring things to a good end, therefore you have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility. As a Project Manager you analyze project results and develop reporting tools to support new projects. As member of the site management team you work in close cooperation with local management. You are able to understand the customer’s needs and to translate these into business solutions. In this role you report to the Business Unit Director. The location is Bergen op Zoom.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Executes projects in close corporation with site management and other project members.
  • Is involved in initiation, defining, development, implementing and follow-up of different projects focusing on business improvements.
  • Strong focus (involvement) on project design.
  • Responsible for defining and implementing appropriate business solutions.
  • Documenting the functional requirements to support the solutions delivery.
  • Managing the (systems) development budgets & prioritization in support to new solutions.
  • Creation and updating of all standard policies, procedures and documentation in relation to projects.
  • Regularly update and implement any training documentation and processes in order to support implementation.
  • Keeping all stakeholders informed at all times.
  • Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with internal and external parties through open communications.
  • Displays teamwork abilities and maintains a positive attitude.
  • Inventorying and analyzing relevant information and processing it in reports and management information according to KPI’s.

Functie eisen


For the position of Logistics Project Manager we require a Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent in logistics or business studies with at least 5 years Project Management experience and at least 6 years experience in Logistics, supply chain management or general operational management.

Other requirements

  • Strong knowledge in process definition techniques.
  • Experience in the delivery of system development & implementation projects.
  • Process expert / six sigma qualified.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, in budget and to quality targets set.
  • Extensive experience in multi-cultural business.
  • WMS experience; preferably Manhattan PKMS.
  • Experience with project management tools and sorter and or PTL automation;
  • Experience in (Fashion) VAS business & processes.
  • Industry project management qualifications;
  • Fluent use of written and spoken Dutch and English.
  • Organizational awareness (people, processes, culture.
